Tent Instructions

 

TENT SETUP INSTRUCTIONS


Step 1:

Unfold footprint and place in a flat suitable area.

Step 2:

Unfold the main tent and place it on top of the footprint.

Step 3:

a.) Unfold the one-piece tentpole and place it on top of the tent body, the middle support pole should be turned 90 degrees to form a “+”
b.) Place two of the tentpole ends into the red aluminum retainers on the tent body only. (they will be placed into the ones on the footprint in a later step)

Step 4:

 
Place the opposite two ends of the tentpole into the red aluminum retainers on the tent body only, at the other end of the tent.

Step 5:

Clip all gray support clips that are on the tent body to the tentpoles.


Step 6:

a.) Place one end of the middle support pole into a red aluminum retainer, that is located above one of the tent doors.

b.) Place the webbing loop over the end of the tent pole, this will keep the pole inside the red aluminum retainer while you place the pole into the retainer on the other side of the tent.

c.) repeat step “a.” above on the opposite side of the tent.


Step 7:

With all the previous steps completed, your tent should resemble the picture above. 

Step 8: 

Only use Step 8, if you are not installing outer rain fly.

If you will be installing the rain fly onto the tent, move to Step 10

Install the tentpole ends into the red aluminum retainers on the footprints. Both red aluminum retainers should be attached to the end of the tentpole when you are done. Repeat for all tentpole ends remaining.


Step 9:

Use the provided tentpegs to stake out all four corners of the tent. It is only necessary to stake out the tent and not the footprint, with the tent body staked down the footprint will not go anywhere.


Step 10: Outer Rain Fly Installation

a.) Unfold outer rain fly and place over the main tent body.

b.) Align the rain fly so that the WILDLANDS logos will be at the narrow ends of the tent, and vestibule zippered openings are inline with the tent doors.

 

Step 11:

a.) Lift up one the vestibules to see a red aluminum retainer.

b.) Place the red aluminum retainer over the end of the middle support pole, followed by the webbing loop, then fold the vestibule back down over the tent.

c.) Repeat the steps above on the opposite side of the tent.


Step 12:

Install the red aluminum retainers on the corners of the rain fly underneath the retainers for the tent on the tentpoles, at all four corners of the tent.

Step 13:

Place the four tentpole ends into the red aluminum retainers on the footprint, you should have three aluminum retainers attached to the ends of each tentpole when finished.


Step 14:

Adjust the tension on the rain fly with the buckle shown in the picture.


Give slack towards the buckle, by pulling down on the corner of the rain fly, and then tighten by pulling the free end of the webbing. Repeat at all corners.


Step 15:

Stake all four corners or the tent rain fly.


Step 16:

Pull the vestibule towards you and stake out one side the vestibule, this will allow you to unzip the vestibule and roll up one side for access to the tent.


Step 17:

a.) Stake out an end of the tent with the WILDLANDS logo on it.

b.) Open the vent on the end of the tent by using the kickstand at the vent and securing it to the velcro tab.

c.) Repeat the steps above on the opposite end of the tent.


Step 18:
